Noise from your neighbours?

Loud music, heavy footsteps or repeated DIY noise can disturb your peace at home. If you want to raise it but cannot find the words, CalmNotes helps you describe the situation calmly and specifically.

€17.49 per pack, including VAT. One payment, a digital download and no subscription.

Choose the situation that fits

What is included?

  • Five editable Word messages: short, medium-length and detailed alternatives for first contact, a reminder and a further follow-up.

  • Guidance, placeholders and options for no response, no improvement or temporary improvement.

  • Instructions on choosing a message and responding to a reply.

  • Background information and relevant UK considerations, not individual legal advice.

  • An Excel incident diary with instructions and a separate fictional example.

The seven Word documents and Excel diary come in one ZIP download. Extract the files and open them with suitable Word and Excel software. Choose and adapt only the messages that fit your circumstances; you do not need to send them all. Rules and procedures vary across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Prepare your message calmly

Describe the sound you hear, when it occurs and its effect on you. Make a specific request and leave room for a response. A written message gives you time to choose your words before making contact.

If you feel unsafe or suspect violence, seek appropriate help first. An ordinary neighbour message is not the right first step. In a UK emergency, call 999.

The tools support clear communication. They do not guarantee that the noise will stop or establish that a statutory nuisance exists.

Have you already made contact?

Consider preparing a conversation, organising a factual incident diary or asking an appropriate organisation for help if the problem continues.
