Cannabis smell from neighbours — Pack

Does your neighbour’s cannabis smell come in through a window, balcony, vent or the stairwell? Raise it calmly. Describe what you smell yourself and what it means for you, and ask for a small, realistic agreement, such as not smoking at an open window, without accusing anyone.

You receive one clear Word document that you can open straight away:

• Five sample messages: a first message in three lengths (short, medium and detailed), a reminder and a third message, each on its own page.

• A guide to choosing a message and instructions for use, with a clickable table of contents.

• Background information and a brief legal overview for the UK.

• A log to print or fill in, with an invented example. Prefer Excel? A link in the document lets you download an Excel version too.

Choose one suitable first message and fill in your own details. The follow-up messages include variants for no reply, no improvement or temporary improvement. General information for the UK; not individual legal advice.

Open the document in Word or another program that supports Word files. The text to send is always in a green box. Adapt the texts before you use them. The pack offers general information, not individual legal advice or a guarantee that the problem will stop.
